While this may seem convenient and cost effective, you should be aware that most of these searches
are from Corrections Department databases. Companies that rely on corrections databases will only
be able to provide you with a portion of felony convictions because not all convicted felons serve
time in a state facility. Don’t you need to know that your applicant has multiple drug, battery, theft
or shoplifting charges? Most of these arrests are misdemeanors! They do not show up in corrections
department records or in statewide searches for felonies only. You will never be made aware of the
